This is an excellent commentary by Patrick J. Buchanan regarding Pope Benedict's latest action.

Geee.....does that include Clown Masses, prayers with pagans, false ecummenism with heretics, the watering down of the rubrics of the Mass?

Actions continue to speak louder than words.

I think the Holy Father is referring to a time before the flower children. If responsible adults had taken the flower children outside and beaten some sense into them, have you ever thought how much better things could have been? Instead, a generation of immature people were allowed to do as they pleased by leaders who weren't worthy of their offices. If God gives Pope Benedict the many more years I hope He gives to him, then I think you will see a number of things corrected.

I hope you are correct, and I hope that Pope Benedict, our Holy Father, has the cajones to do it.

Maybe the problem is that he has to make these changes slowly, undoing things in the same way they were done -- a little at a time.
