I have recently started attending a Romanian Orthodox Church and, while I can pick up most of the music by listening during Orthros, Divine Liturgy, etc. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place I could get Romanian Liturgical music (sheet and/or audio). I've found what I've heard very beautiful and am eager to learn more.

Thank you for your efforts smile

The following websites have a fair amount of MP3s of Romanian liturgical music (mostly Byzantine chant, or "psaltic" as Romanians refer to it).

I also have a few videos on YouTube of Romanian liturgical music:

If you're looking for something specific in sheet music, please let me know.

I recommend to any soul to listen to the Romanian carols, which are so beautiful.

You all might see the linear and psaltic notation for Axion Song (dedicated to Most Holy Theotokos), VIII Voice.

It is in flash, also use zoom in (right click etc.)

Not only notation, but also a monk sings.

Hello all.
I do have some audio & video resources-some good, some less, it's true- for two variants of the music usually performed in the Transylvanian Orthodox churches: the one called "cuntana" in the south-eastern Transylvania, and the other, more usual, at the westernmost extremities of Transylvania an especially within the dioceses of Arad and Bihor.
Those interested, feel free to contact me via private message. I'll be glad to share this with everyone interested, for free.

Right now you can listen to the live broadcasting of the Great Vespers from the Cathedral of Alba Iulia:
