I don't think our Lord is really in the liturgical endorsement business.
If any would think that Jesus endorsed a Latinization by performing a miracle, it would be the same as those who say God the Father approves icons of Himself as an old man since there have been numerous "miracle working" icons which contained that depiction. Or, in the same vein, that God really approves of icon prints instead of the real thing because there are prints that have wept. But, God can use many things, even things we view as "incorrect", to bring people to Himself.
It is interesting, though, that you won't find these types of Eucharistic happenings in the (traditional) East too often. If something were to happen, it would not be viewed in as high a regard as in the West, or so I think.
