Hey everyone, its me again, the one who started the Ukraine vs. The Ukraine post...I had no idea it was such a hot button issue. Sorry about that and thanks all for your courteous replies. blush

Anyway, hopefully this will be a little less controversial. I'm wondering what exactly Church Slavonic is, as I've seen numerous references to it throughout the board. My assumption was that it was similar to what Latin is for the Western Church, is this correct? I was also wondering if the different churches (Ruthenian, Ukrainian, Romanian, etc.) had different forms of Slavonic.
