Christ is born! Glorify Him!

I would like to start this thread and wish all a blessed, prayer-filled, and holy feast of the Nativity. May the the promise of the new-born Christ fill all with joy and hope not only on this feast day, but every day of our life.

In IC XC,
Father Anthony+

Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

Christ is Born!!! Glorify Him!!!

May the Lord Who came among us as a child in the most humble of conditions enter the heart of each of us He calls His own by Baptism and Chrismation. May He remain there as the center of each of our lives. May the relationship He offers be accepted by each of us and may we deepen it day by day until each of us is called by Him to that life of blessedness He wants us to have with Him forever.

AMEN Maranatha!! Come Lord Jesus!!

May the Lord shower His great blessings on each of you who will celebrate the Feast tomorrow and may He continue to wlah with those of you who continue the fast until you, too, celebrate the Feast.

In Christ,

BOB

Christ is Born! Glorify Him!

With thanks to God, I see that the media is carrying wonderful celebrations of the Nativity - NBC carrying the Vatican ceremonies, CBS carrying services from the Riverside Church (Dutch Reformed) in New York City, and ABC carrying the services from the oldest Catholic Cathedral in America, Assumption in Baltimore (a glorious edifice and community!) [I was there for the re-consecration with that wonderful pastor Cardinal Keeler - the incense set off the smoke detectors!! All smiled as we waited for the fire department - good Irishmen all!]

God became man in the person of Jesus Christ. A human being like the rest of us - from dirty diapers to childish pranks, from a young scholar from the working class, to the preacher Who ultimately gave the message of salvation.

It's about God's people: all of us. He came for us all.

Lord be merciful to us and give us the graces to serve all of His people, no matter who they are. If they breathe because of the gift of the Holy Spirit, let us reach out with our arms and embrace them and not judge from whence they come.

Though Pascha is truly our ultimate feast and celebration, the birth of the Lord allows us to send a special welcome to all of humanity for the birth of a child/Child, is something that all humans will resonate with.

Glory to God for this great gift to human beings and the rest of Creation.

May peace and joy come to all our souls.

Dr John

Merry Christmas to all as I try to get some rest. The associate pastor remarked this afternoon that the last mass of today made a total of nine masses in two days. We both agreed that we are tired! Prayers and good wishes for all, and I will have some chocolate in your honor. biggrin
