From the Sun Courier, suburban Cleveland:

Joseph A. Loya, 89, of Independence, Ohio, died Dec. 14.

Mr. Loya was a retired teacher.

He was the husband of Ann (nee New); father of Rev. John F., Rev. Joseph A., Charles (Donna), Teresa Holupka (Frank Jr.); grandfather of three; great grandfather of one; and brother of eight all deceased.

Services were held at St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church with interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Catholic Relief Services, P.O. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21203-7090. Vodrazka Funeral Home of Independence handled the arrangements.

May God grant His departed servant, +Joseph, blessed repose and eternal memory.
Vicnaja jemu pamjat', blazennj pokoj.

I believe his father was the Rev. John Loya who served the Yonkers NY and Windber PA parishes of the Ruthenian Exarchate, which toady is the Ruthenian Metropolia.

Vichnaja jemu pamjat'!

May his memory be eternal+

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
