Hello all:
I need some suggestions regarding prayer books<I know this one has probably posted enumerable times-sorry>I am now attending at UGCC Church. I used to do the Liturgy of Hours when attending a Latin Parish but to be honest it was difficult to work into my hectic life and I don't think it would be appropriate to use seeing as I am going to the East if God wills it.

Viking - The Divine Liturgy: An Anthology for Worship contains the Little Hours and is a treasury especially for Divine Liturgy music and texts in English. Patriarch Lubomyr has recommended it for English-language usage. It is a must-have for UGCC faithful praying in English and is available from a variety of sources including the Sheptytsky Institute, Byzantine Supplies in Philadelphia and the Eparchy of St. Josaphat bookstore.
The Horologion published by the Eparchy of Stamford may still be out of print, but you can call Ksenia in the chancery and find out.

It's Orthodox but a nice little handy prayer book is the red Antiochian Prayer Book. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/103-5504344-2721422?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=antiochian+prayerbook
I was told that a lot of the translations were borrowed from Eastern Catholic Churches that already had things translated. I can't back that up, but I thought that I would mention that in case that made any one more comfortable with the idea.
Then there is the Jordanville Prayerbook which is originally intended for monks (as far as I understand), but often used by lay people.

Oh - well if we are suggesting things other than UGCC books there is of course my favourite The Old Orthodox Prayer Book from Erie OK the language is not modern - possibly that's why it is my all time favourite - the others suggested by Fr Deacon Diak are also in my possession as is the Jordanville

Is Little Compline missing from the excellent Anthology ... or am I missing it?
