Would that come in the two volume abridged version with accompanying appendixes or just simply the 30 volume encyclopedia version with annual updates? biggrin

That reminds me of an amusing story.

The Lord found an extremely righteous man, and one day spoke to him. The Lord explained that since the man was so righteous, He would grant him one wish to show such favor. The man thought for a while and then responded, I would like a bridge built from California to Hawaii.

The Lord responded that this was a monumental task and asked if there was something simpler the man would want. The man thought long and hard, then replied Yes, can you tell what is on a womans mind and how to understand her? There was a long pause from the Lord. Then the Lord said, Do you want that bridge with two lanes or four?

Hmmm...you know, women tend to speak their mind and express their emotions verbally where as *men* are the ones who don't...

Me thinks that it is the men, who are 'tuning out' and not comprehending! wink grin

Then again, what can we women from Venus expect from aliens? After all, men are from Mars! smile crazy

In Christ,
Alice

You all say that...

But it would explain the green spots on my skins though biggrin smile

Been married 31 years, and still it is a mystery to me...

The Good Lord made them that way, I guess, for a good reason...

Been married 32 years and my guess is that my poor wife got the word that she'd never spend a minute in Hell after a lifetime with me. biggrin

You just haven't found the right woman. Believe me, there is a woman out there who is just as confused as you are about love and she is looking for you - so keep your eyes open - she may be sitting next to you licking a popsicle.

"She may be sitting next to you licking a popsicle."

In that case you will need patience.

In all seriousness, when I was dating (or trying to date) I felt exactly the same way. I threw up my hands at all the flirting games and came to know myself and my temperament...I then became convinced that there was no girl out there who could tolerate me. This whole process took some time and was very frustrating. So when I found my wife, I was glad I wasnt too successful at the dating game.

Has anyone here read any books by Joshua Harris? Although more geared towards the younger dating community, he appears to touch on some general Christian ideas on the subject that might be relevant to any age. I'm curious about others' thoughts about his books.
