May God help him! I would not want to be in his shoes.
What is startling is that he's only been a Bishop since 11/1/08!

Another interesting point:he was elected on the Feast of St. Josaphat. I'm sure that the planners of the OCA Sobor did not intend such a "coincidence".

LOL! grin

God grant His appointed shepherd, Metropolitan Jonah, many happy, fruitful and blessed years! May He also grant healing to our brothers and sisters in the OCA.

I was at the AAC and am returning home. It is truely a wonderful thing. His Beatitude was not expecting the result. Some people have said on other forums that the election was rigged. That is not true. The vote count in the second ballet was 475 for +Jonah and about 350 for +Job. The 2/3 majority was 430. The bishops confirmed the people's choice.
Listen to the talk His Beatitude gave the night before. It was the catalyst for his election. He is the Primate the OCA. As Bishop Nikon told me today, he is the right man for the right time.
