Vatican City, Feb 18, 2009 (CNA).- House speaker Nancy Pelosi’s photo-op with Pope Benedict XVI turned sour when the Pontiff used the 15-minute meeting to reaffirm the teachings of the Catholic Church on the right to life and the duty to protect the unborn.
No photo of Nancy Pelosi and the Pope will be forthcoming, since the meeting was closed to reporters and photographers. The two met in a small room in the Vatican just after the Pope's weekly public audience. . . It didn't seem much like a rebuke to me.

Amado I don't know, I think 3 days barefoot in the snow would do Madame Speaker some good!

Three days in the snow barefoot and then a week in the dairy barn with no chance to shower just might do her some actual good.

Yes we do! We all know what happened to Thomas A Becket. And there are many more that would join him in the defense of life. Stephanos I "Let God arise and His enemies be scattered."

Isnt' there a line where Henry says "the only intelligent man in the kingdom, and he's against me"? God bless B XVI. I think madame speaker is not used to being contradicted and corrected on her bizarre pronouncements, where she has to sit and take it.
