This forum is about the Churches of the Byzantine tradition that are in communion with Rome (i.e. the Byzantine Catholic Churches).
We discuss all manner of stuff here.
I am a member of the western (Roman Catholic) Church.
Same faith, different traditions.
Hope that helps.

Hi dzedo!
Welcome to The Byzantine Forum!
The Byzantine Forum is a forum mainly for those interested in Byzantine and other forms of Eastern Christianity, both Catholic and Orthodox. It is hosted by Byzantine Catholics but it is not specifically a Catholic forum. Non-Eastern Christians who are interested in learning about the Christian East are most welcome to participate.

Dear Dzedo,
In Ukrainian, that could mean "grandfather" or something like that.
Welcome to the forum and we look forward to your posts.

Dear Ung-Certez, I guess I must have a multicultural Slavic family - different uncles and aunts used all those pronunciations! And I know what a "deed" is too . . . In Polish, it's "dzyadeszki." Alex
