This forum is about the Churches of the Byzantine tradition that are in communion with Rome (i.e. the Byzantine Catholic Churches).

We discuss all manner of stuff here.

I am a member of the western (Roman Catholic) Church.

Same faith, different traditions.

The Byzantine Forum is a forum mainly for those interested in Byzantine and other forms of Eastern Christianity, both Catholic and Orthodox. It is hosted by Byzantine Catholics but it is not specifically a Catholic forum. Non-Eastern Christians who are interested in learning about the Christian East are most welcome to participate.

Alex, theis is one case where geography is easily determined by pronounciation.
(Deedo, Zhedo, gido, zhayzho)... wink

I guess I must have a multicultural Slavic family - different uncles and aunts used all those pronunciations!

And I know what a "deed" is too . . . wink

In Polish, it's "dzyadeszki."
