Can anyone recommend some good books on the ecclesiology found in the New Testament? I am especially interested in the question of whether there was a threefold ministry of Bishop, Presbyter, Deacon in the apostolic age (when the NT was written) or whether it was twofold (or perhaps, whether there was no normative structure for all congregations; i.e. ecclesiological pluralism).

There is plenty of works written on this subject but the books and authors slip my mind for the moment.

PS I did find Hans Kung's book "The Church" very informative.
(Although you have to read it critically)
