is there such a thing, and is it obtainable? Do the wonderful people at Erie have one in the works per chance?

Don't know whether an English-language Old Rite "sluzhebnik" is being prepared in Erie, but I do know that the only such book currently available is published in Church-Slavonic in three volumes: one for the Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom, the second for the Liturgy of Saint Basil and the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts, and the third for Vespers and Orthros. The prices are not high, but actually ordering and obtaining the books is not necessarily easy. If you can write Russian, you might send a letter to the headquarters of the Russian Old-Ritualist Orthodox Church, asking to purchase these volumes. May the Angels assist you.

Thankyou Fr Serge. That is exactly the information I wanted, and I would prefer Slavonic over English.
I shall indeed write to the HQ.
Added question: would the priest from the parish in Sydney be worth a go as well?

One can but ask. Father Timofei might perhaps have an address in Moscow for the purchase of books.

While I am on the subject, my main interest is how much the deacon's part differs in the Old Rite sluzhebnik (if at all).
Can anyone advise (particularly if/ how it differs in the proskomedia)?

Patience, patience. I'm just completing my translation. As soon as it is in print, we can compare this with that to our heart's content. Meanwhile, if you read Church-Slavonic, order a copy of the Divine Liturgy of each variety and compare them with one another.
The Prothesis has a substantial amount of differences.
For the sake of Christ, forgive me.

Rejoice and be glad - the Russian Orthodox Old-Ritualist Church expects to have the Tserkovnoe Oko off the press within a month. It's a large, heavy book which is mostly devoted to the Typicon and related matters. Copies in the West are very scarce.

Very good.....I emailed the metropolia pa russki and did not hear anything back, I will get in touch with Fr Timofei next. if you hear anything else please let me know Father Timofei, if he doesn't know, will beable to point you towards Archbishop Sofroni (who is in Australia at Sydney presently). If Fr Timofei can't help - perhaps Fr. Pavel in Melbourne could assist. I also believe he is online?? Cheers, Miha

Hiya. No he isn't on the forum - I meant to say that I beleve he uses a computer and has an email account - which (trust me) is a rare thing for Old Ritualist clergy The fact that he speaks English fluently is rare enough If you would like some contact details - feel free to PM me and I could see what I can obtain and pass them on. Cheers, Misha

Ah my bad grammar makes me misunderstood.
I meant that I resorted to yandex after gooogle failed to provide a source; yandex lead me to the link I posted above.
