It is an interesting article. I still find the seemingly ever-present need to fixate on comparisons with "the West" (whatever that means!) to be immature and misguided. But this could simply be a product of selective quoting or editing by the writer of the article. Still, it wouldn't be the first time I've seen it. Kind of a dead horse.
