May the memory of all those of our brothers and sisters who served in the armed forces be eternal.

Especially, I remember my brothers and sisters who served with me in the Republic of VietNam and gave their lives there or died subsequently as a result of their service there.

In particular, I remember and pray for my classmate and friend, 1LT Louis Favuzza, 2d Platoon, A Company, 1 Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). Lou died 40 years ago this past April, as a result of multiple wounds received during an enemy attack at Binh Long, RVN. He was 23 years old, a gentleman, and a gentle man. May his memory be eternal.

Poor is the Nation that has no heroes; shameful is the Nation that, having them, forgets ...

Yes, lest we forget..today is Veteran's day which we once called Armistice Day. President Wilson started it in order to commemorate the signing of the armistice ending W.W.I (11/11/1918). My father was an American soldier stationed in Europe in 1918 in the Army Motor Corp assigned to various generals as their driver, including John J. Pershing. My brother and sister served in W.W.II, my husband was in the Airborne during the Korean War, and two nephews served during the Viet Nam War as well as a great nephew in Afghanistan. I am thanking God for all of my heroes. Memory eternal for those departed ones (my father and sister) And I pray for all those now serving.
