Bishop Hlib Lonchyna, M.S.U. [

press.catholica.va] Apostolic Exarch for the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic faithful in Great Britain.
Bishop Hlib was born in Steubenville, Ohio, in 1954. He joined the Studite monks at Grottaferrata in Italy in 1975 and was ordained priest in 1977. He arrived in Ukraine in 1994 and became auxiliary Bishop of Lviv in 2002.
Since then he has held various positions, some of them concurrently: Apostolic Visitor for Ukrainian Greek-Catholics in Italy and Procurator at Rome, Apostolic Visitor for Ukrainian Greek Catholics in Spain and Ireland, Bishop of the Curia, and Apostolic Administrator of the Apostolic Exarchate for Ukrainian Greek-Catholics in Great Britain.
The Apostolic Exarchate of Great Britain has been vacant since 2006, when the previous Exarch, Bishop Paul Patrick Chomnycky, O.S.B.M., became Bishop of Stamford, Conn.
