Have any of the Eastern Catholic Churches kept this tradition of the procession of the Plaschanitsa of the Bogoroditsa and laying in the tomb? I can't recall anyone on here ever mentioning it.
I am sure a lot of parishes don't in both E. Catholic and Orthodox parishes here in North America. Probably a factor of it being late summer/vacation/camps and the fact that it is a more minor feast culturally, unlike Easter, Good Friday, St. Nicholas, Yordan, etc.
I should have known that if anybody did,Brampton would. That's good. I was thinking about some of lesser performed services, and when I saw this video, it dawned on me that I have never heard mention of it outside of ROCOR.
I do recall seeing a booklet, which was put out in the 1970's if I remember correctly, which was a booklet for celebrating the service which was put out by the Diocese of Parma. (BCC)...
