If you need a good cook book for the Great Fast may I recommend this one: Taste and See American Orthodox Cooking [ conciliarpress.bizhosting.com] A beautifully designed cookbook, perfect for those looking for Orthodox fasting food that appeals to an American palate. The recipes, both fasting and non-fasting, are simple and easy to make. The 3-ring binder style allows you to add your own recipes. Hardback binder / 196 pages It says it contains non-fasting food in the title but I have the book and I didn't see any non-fasting foods. In the book they claim every recipe was approved by the Church to ensure it fits within the fasting guidelines. You can't go wrong with this book. Enjoy!

Ray,
I have the cook book for several years now and it is great. It has some down to earth recipes that is unusual with most cook books offered by parishes.
I also recommend this cook book.
In IC XC, Father Anthony+
Everyone baptized into Christ should pass progressively through all the stages of Christ's own life, for in baptism he receives the power so to progress, and through the commandments he can discover and learn how to accomplish such progression. - Saint Gregory of Sinai

New website for Conciliar Press [conciliarpress.com], but there are no cookbooks any longer that I could find ... however, they do host a brief related article, that may be of interest Some Thoughts on Fasting by an Orthodox Priest [conciliarpress.com]Many years, Neil
