Today came the news of a truly dreadful tragedy , 22 young Belgian children and 6 adults killed in an accident in a tunnel as their coach crashed headfirst into the wall of a tunnel , as they were going home after a holiday in Switzerland

BBC News Site [bbc.co.uk]

24 are injured - some very seriously

In your charity please pray for all those involved - the children and their teachers and coach drivers who have died , those injured , those who had to deal with the aftermath of the crash at the site of the accident and all the medical staff treating them in the various hospitals.

Also please pray for the parents and siblings of those who have died and those who have been injured , as they wait for news .

Lord in your mercy - hear our prayer

O Master, Lord our God, Who in Thy wisdom hast created man, and didst honor him with Thy Divine image, and place in him the spirit of life, and lead him into this world, bestowing on him the hope of resurrection and life everlasting; and after he had violated Thy commandments, Thou O Gracious lover of mankind, didst descend to the earth that Thou mightest renew again the creation of Thy hands.

Therefore we pray Thee, O All-Holy Master give rest to the souls of Thy servants, whose names are not known to us, in a place of brightness, a place of green pasture, a place of repose, and, in that they have sinned in word, or deed or thought forgive them:

For Thou art a good God and lovest mankind and unto Thee do we ascribe Glory, together with Thy Father, Who is from everlasting and Thine All-Holy and good, and ever giving Spirit, now, and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Prayers for all of the victims who died, that the Lord lead them to a place where there is neither pain nor suffering, neither weeping nor sighing, but only life everlasting. Prayers, too, for the injured, that their recovery, physical and emotional, be swift.

Remmeber too, Lord, all of the families involved and the rescue workers who will forever bear the emotional scars that always come with the memories of seeing suffering and dead children and the feeling of not having been able to do enough to save them.
