I am thankful that the calendars are out of step this year; for having celebrated the Western Triduum I will take "vacation" in a few days in order to experience the Antiochian Triduum for the first time.

That is simply not possible in years when the calendars are in synch.

I am looking forward to simply being a "sponge" to absorb as many of th riches of those holy days as possible.

I know what you mean! For many years I would come home from Christmas Liturgy at my church to turn on the television and catch the Midnight Mass from St. Patrick's Cathedral!
