Bless, Father,

Your well-being and health continue in my prayers, dear friend.

Father Ambrose,

Bless....

I saw something on another forum, but I thought I would allow you to share it with us personally...I hope that you are out there 'in cyberspace' to see this.

In Christ,
Alice

Father Ambose,

May the Holy Apostles Ss. Peter and Paul, and your Holy Mother, Mary intercede for you and guide your recovery by their protecting help.

There is great news. An unexpected consult with the surgeon on Wednesday. There is no cancer! They can't do a biopsy because of the weak heart but the new diagnosis is very certain.

Thank you for your prayers and please do not stop; the gall bladder which is 100% calcified cannot be removed by an operation and it will cause major problems down the line. But the surgeon pointed out that I am way overdue for a cardiac event and that will be the most likely cause of my transitus.

But right now I am elated that there is no cancer – glory to God for His mercy and compassion.

Fr Ambrose

When I received the above news last night from my dear friend, Father Ambrose, I will readily admit to having been moved to tears. It's been a tough eight months or so, since we lost another old and dear friend in Father Serge, of blessed memory, and the thought that such a vigil would have to be lived again within the year has been a major burden on my mind and that of others. While Father's health continues to be of concern, this news was a blessed relief and renews one's faith in God's mercy and love.

Prayers of thanksgiving for the blessing given to Father Ambrose and may God grant him many more years in His service.

Father Ambrose, although I from time to time doubt the goodness of God, your experience removes that doubt.

May you continue to know grace, peace and relief. That's what I'd like were I in your place.

Thank you to you all for prayers and continuing prayers. God has been very compassionate about the cancer. It is a wonderful reprieve. And I suspect that the initial diagnosis was correct but everybody's prayers have had a wonderful result. Thank you!

When I got the bad news I planted a Rowan tree in a huge wooden half barrel at the front door. People asked: how long have you got? And my reply: I'll live as long as this tree! Well, that's a bit exasggerative since Rowans will live around 200 years! grin
