Just FYI, I had a first-hand look at the new English version of the takso today. I must say, it's very nice. Now I have to 'work on" Mor Gregory to get me a copy of that plus (and fare more importantly) the full Syriac text. wink

BTW, one thing struck me as a little odd. As I was looking through the Second ("Public") Service, I didn't seem to notice the opening doxology (shoubho labo ...) and continuation (w-'layn mheelé ou hatoyé ...) anywhere. Is that a misprint or was it taken out for some strange reason? confused

Where / How did you get a chance to see it?

I will answer your second question when I get home from work...

Malphono,

I'm looking through the text now -- which section are you referring to?

The Service of Aaron, the Service of Melchizedek, or after the Veil is opened?

If the last section, it does not begin with Shubaho labo.. it begins with Mariyam deeletokh, while the Sanctuary Veil is opened.

I only had the opportunity to examine the book for a few minutes, so I'm not really sure exactly what I was looking at. blush If I have the chance to see it again (or if I can get a copies of my own) I'll be able to look at it more depth and see if my impression was mistaken (which it probably was).
