Please pray for Darcy, Jeb, and baby Elliot. Jeb is my best friend's brother. His wife Darcy suffered a ruptured abdominal aneurysm during the delivery of their 4th child yesterday morning. She had an emergency C-section and the aneurysm was repaired, but she continued to bleed (She was in DIC). She was not expected to live through the day yesterday, but this morning she is able to talk and making urine. (The doctors were concerned about kidney failure and brain damage.) Baby Elliot is doing fine, but he could have been without adequate blood supply for 20 minutes, so the doctors are still cautious. Lord, have mercy. Thanks for your prayers.

Please continue to pray for Darcy and baby Elliot. She was not expected to live past 8 pm Sunday. As a dozen family members knelt around her in ICU that evening praying and singing hymns, she began to improve. She had 2 more surgeries Monday and will have another today. The surgeon has never experienced this kind of recovery and used the word miracle. Baby Elliot is doing well but still in NICU. They are in different hospitals so Jeb must spend the day traveling back and forth to be with his wife and son.

Prayers for Darcy, that she recover fully and that the Holy Theotokos intercede before the Throne, asking that God grant her many years in continued health to mother her children. Prayers also for Baby Elliot, that he grow strong and thrive and be without any adverse effects. Prayers for Jeb and their other children, that they be strong and be comforted in this trying time.
