Good Evening:

Slava Isusu Khrystu!

I am wondering if there might be any Byzantine Rite Catholics on the Forum who are interested in the Fatima message and who are aware that there is a Byzantine Rite Chapel at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal. I am asking because I have a great love of the Theotokos under this particular title and have visited this magnificent shrine twice and prayed a lot in the Byzantine Rite Chapel.

Thank you

I have a small collection of articles and photos related to the Russian Byzantine Catholic chapel of the Dormition at Fatima. Among them is a photocopy of the booklet, Welcome to the Byzantine-Russian Catholic Chapel in Fatima, by the late Archmandrite John J Mowatt.
I have yet to visit Fatima, but when I do, I will definitely be going to visit the chapel.

I would love to go there to celebrate the Akathist to the Mother of God.

Especially on today's feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe (even though it's primarily a Latin Rite feast day, and only celebrated by certain ethnicities). But yeah, this would be a wonderful visit at some point... The Theotokos is certainly given due the respect in these times to protect us, and to bear the Divine Lord to all of us when we need His Grace shed upon us. Anyone have a cruise ship ticket to Portugal?

I wouldn't be against E. Catholics celebrating this feast according to each Church's unique Traditions, in the United States, Canada and Mexico as the Theotokos is the Patroness and Empress of the Americas.

True, but that's what the Immaculate Conception Feast was for (and we had the Eastern Catholic feast just one day later, even though there are some Eastern traditions that do celebrate on the 8th).
