Sometime today, my daughter, Elisabeth, and my son-in-law, Michael, will welcome their first child, my first grandchild - a grandson or granddaughter, which, yet to be determined. Please keep them in your prayers.

Your own kids are amazing. Throughout their lives you love and care for their every need. BUT, those grandkids! Astounding, perfect, wonderful, smart, loving....there aren't enough words to describe them. The parents lives are changed forever. YOUR HEART, you never knew it could be so big. ENJOY!

Thanks to everyone for their prayers. Patrick was born at 10:34pm last night in the far reaches of northern Maine. He and both his parents are well - as are his grandparents and his excited aunts and uncles! May God grant him many years in health and happiness!
