I was surprised to read in the article that they still hold services on Saturdays. I assumed when the for sale sign went up that the church was closed.

Things like the iconostas & altar (if removeable) will be retained by the eparchy for future use in other parishes. If there is any type of hall below the church building, i'm pretty sure that would include everything. The eparchy doesn't want pots and pans and dishes
