And remember that each Lestovka has some of the earth from that pathway surrounding the monastery sewn into it . . .

This is like a gift from St Seraphim of Sarov himself!

(I guess this isn't the best way to keep everone's nerves in check . . .) smile

OK, I received my package with my new Theotokos Lestovka today . . . And the Master Beadsman received his, last week.

An amazing piece of craftsmanship by the holy nuns of Diveyevo, just simply amazing (and a piece of wood from the holy pathway around Diveyevo is sewn into it as well).

I also ordered a medal of the Mother of God of Tender Feeling on one side and of St Seraphim on the other - beautiful and I'm wearing it now, never to take it off!

I would have written this sooner, but I've been dancing and leaping for joy . . .

May the Most Holy Mother of God of Tender Feeling, St Seraphim of Sarov, St Seraphim Zvezdinsky and our Holy and God-Bearing Mothers, Sts Alexandra and the other Saints of Diveyevo pray for us always!!

God be praised and glorified, now and always and unto the ages of ages!!!

God bless you all!!!

a very happy Alex

Alex,

I'm happy to hear that you received your lestovka! Still waiting on mine to come in and starting to worry a little. How long did it take for yours to come in? I ordered mine on Oct 8th and was exported on 16 October. Any idea?

Many years!

Mine took over four weeks to get to me - don't know exactly how long the Master Beadsman's took.

Natalia, who sent mine out, contacted me immediately when the tracking process indicated my package was "undeliverable" - I wasn't home but went to the postal station the next day.

Perhaps you should contact her at lestovka.div@gmail.ru and ask her about it. If you like, I could write to her in Ukrainian to ask on your behalf.

Alex,

I have e-mailed Natalia and explained the situation. The last scan was in Moscow before it was to have left for the U.S.. In the meanwhile I will go the USPS to see if I can get a tracer on the package. Thank you for your help and advice.

Just wondering if Jeff ever received his Lestovka. I certainly hope so. The sisters do fantastic work. I'm hoping to be able to begin making these some time in the near future, but I have to find a source for leather. And before I start making them in leather I want to use some sort of imitation leather for practice. But I digress...

Jeff, have you received your Lestovka? What do you think?

Phillip,

Glory to Jesus Christ!

No, at this point I have not been able to find it on the USPS tracking site as well as going to the post office for them to look too. Missing in action! I have contacted Natalia, and she is in the process of sending a replacement. I'll let you know when it arrives.

I'm sorry to hear that, Jeff. I hope the issue is resolved soon. The nuns really do fantastic work. I'm going to use their work to model my own upon once I get up and running making Lestovkas. smile

Phillip,

By some miracle I got an e mail from Natalia, the lestovka was delivered today! I am happy beyond words!! More than I imagined it would be. Good luck with making Lestovka's! Some how, with no scans it showed up. I must remember that "good things come to those who wait."

Many Years,
Jeff

That's wonderful news, Jeff. Please keep me in your prayers as you use it. I'm always in need of prayer, especially since I'm wanting to expand my little ministry into Lestovka making as well.

And please remember our dear brother, Alex Roman, in your prayers as well. We are deeply in his debt for his generosity in sharing such a treasure with us.

Yes, thank you. Please use your Lestovka for that purpose . . .

As my in-laws would say, "Heppy Tenksgeeveeng!"
