Today, St Michael's University in Toronto was paid a visit by Monastics from the St Elisabeth Convent from Minsk, Belarus (www.obitel-minsk.by [obitel-minsk.by]).

The Nuns follow the Rule of St Elizabeth the New Martyr of Russia.

They brought all sorts of little icons and prayer beads and I bought as many as my little arms could carry home . . . When I couldn't buy any more for myself, I started buying for others . . .

Prayers for them and their mission. Tomorrow, they travel to the Martyrs' Shrine in Midland, Ontario!

God bless them!

Alex

My favorite community! I wish their trunk show would come to the Pacific Northwest.

I met them on the feast of St Athanasius of Brest, the Bearusyan Orthodox monastic who was tortured and martyred for Orthodoxy by . . . Jesuits and the army serving them!

And yesterday they travelled to the Martyrs' Shrine in Midland to pay their respects to ... martyred Jesuits!

Can religion get any better? smile
