Can a non-Catholic (Protestant) serve as a Christian Witness in place of one of the sponsors for the initiation of an infant?

I know this is allowed in Western practice for baptism; but not sure for an Eastern Catholic initiation.

And, alas, my Eastern Code is at home, not here at my Church office.

Can someone chime in?

Yes, we had one Presbyterian witness for all 4 Of my sons
