☦️Christ has risen, He has risen indeed !☦️

Hello all !

Although, I’m a Roman Rite Catholic (though baptized in the East Syriac rite), for the past few months / years I am drawn into learning more about Byzantine Christianity (Byzantine Catholicism, in particular).

Have started off with doing my prayer rules along with Rosary on a regular basis, Jesus Prayer meditation and I love the Byzantine cross of Our Lord and Saviour so much that I wear a really beautiful pendant ! ❤️

I just don’t know how to start off (especially with regards to Divine Liturgy, typical devotions, calendar, theology and beliefs, etc.).

Would appreciate help in this regard…

Also, would like to know if there are live streams of the Divine Liturgy in English in the UK and North America which I can view and get accustomed to the rubrics.

Thanks in advance ! Peace and Joy of Eastertide be with y’all !

Hello! Al masih qam! And welcome! I, too, am a non Byzantine interested in Byzantine Catholicism (though, I have the utmost respect for all rites and particular churches of the Catholic Church). I see that you were baptized in the East Syriac rite. I am very curious about that. I don't have a Facebook, but, St Ignatios of Antioch Melkite Catholic church in Augusta, Georgia often streams their 10 am Sunday Divine Liturgy on Facebook. I believe St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic church in Allen Park, Michigan streams many of their vespers, divine liturgies, and other service on. Also on YouTube, and very occasionally, Rumble, you can find services from Holy Resurrection monastery in Wisconsin.

Many Byzantine Catholic parishes livestream their services. I would select a Byzantine Catholic parish, locate its Facebook page, and view their videos. It is likely that they will livestream.

This is definitely true of Holy Angels Byzantine Catholic parish in San Diego, CA.

Welcome and God bless!
