I recently prepared a Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic wedding program/booklet and would like to share with anyone who is interested. The wedding included the Divine Liturgy. It is attached.

Hi PittsburghBob, thanks for sharing.

Was this for a recent wedding that you were involved with? I'm surprised to see wedding vows in there, as it was my understanding that the Byzantine tradition does not have them like the Latin tradition does. (Except for during the betrothal and exchange of rings which happens before Liturgy or at an earlier time, which I understand to have always had vows, as shown here.)

I just did a bit of searching and found this thread (https://www.byzcath.org/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/301641/1) discussing marriage vows in a Byzantine context. It would seem that they are only traditional in the sense of fulfilling civil obligations and are preferred to be absent from crowning.

In any case, may God bring blessing upon the newlywed couple, allow them to prosper the rest of their days, and lead them to everlasting life.
