Hi everyone--I am a Latin rite Catholic and am attending SSPX traditional Latin masses..however in the distant past I have attended Ukrainian Byzantine liturgies whose spirituality I dearly loved. It has been many years since I have had the opportunity to attend them. We at present live in a somewhat isolated area. I may again, soon have access to them, and would like to expose my children to them. I would appreciate any suggestions you might have, that I could implement, that would help my children fully appreciate and understand these beautiful Eastern rite liturgies and customs. They are in age 17, 14,12, and 8. Thank you so very much for any suggestions you might have.

Dear Simplicity, You may want to check Anthony Dragani's answer on EWTN to someone who was attending a Byzantine Liturgy for the first time. This should be helpful in explaining what your children will experience.

Dear Vito,
Thank you so much for the link you sent. It certainly does contain all the basics needed to keep in mind for an initial visit to a Byzantine liturgy-just what I was looking for. He also mentions the Way of the Pilgrim--hopefully giving me the boost I need to dust this book off the shelf and give it some attention!
With prayers,
simplicity
