Hey everyone, I'm planning a trip to Kansas City, MO next month to visit my family, and noticed there's a Byzantine Catholic parish called St. Luke's, in/near a town called Sugar Creek. Anyone here ever attend / or at least visit this parish? I'd love to at least drive by it while I'm there, if not actually attend a liturgy. Thanks!

Gal,
I know that Randy has taken a hiatus from posting, one which I hope he'll soon relax. Hopefully, he's still lurking and reading, but you might try pm'ing him - he's likely to be familiar with the parish.
Many years,

Hello,
I try to go there when I have the opportunity.
But, right now Fr. Stephen is out of the country somewhere, and I don't know when he'll be back. He's been gone for a while.
So I'm curious as to what's happening to St. Luke's? Do they have a subsitute priest? I don't know.
If I were you, I'd ask around or call around and make sure before you waste a trip there.

St. Luke's is a wonderful church to attend. Say hello to all the people for me, they'll know me as the air force chaplain that occassionally visited them. Stephanos I Hope all is going well there and that they have a new priest. There is a great potential there since i think a lot of them were interested in a good liturgical return to being authentically eastern.

Christ is risen!
I belong to St Luke's. Fr Stephen will return this week. Liturgy is at 9:30 on Sundays (Save when Father is out of town, then it is 4:00 PM). So if you visit during May, the Liturgy time out to be pretty regularly at 9:30. If your schedule does not permit a Sunday visit, email me ( akemnerus@yahoo.com ) and i will make sure the temple is open for you (i will close by and love finding any excuse to drop by).
In Christ, Adam
