Christos Voskrese,
My parish, which is located in suburban Philadelphia, is going to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2004. We have a small fiberglass dome which we want to have regilded as it was last done 20 years ago. Does anyone know of anyone who does this kind of work? Thanks Bill Carpatho

Voistinu Voskrese! Dear Bill, the only place I know of is Custom Cupolas and Steeples in Ontario. They have a web site at http://www.customcupola.com/Domes/domes_main.html They do restoration work as well as make new domes. Hope that helps.

Dear Diak, Excellent! You are most definitely using YOUR cupola in more ways than one! Alex

Bill, best source in the USA for Byzantine domes, new and for repair: Steve Dubronos of Cleveland, 216-970-2828. Some examples of his work: at Mount Saint Macrina in Uniontown the domes on the new masoleum, shrine altar, and pontifical altar, churches in North Huntingdon, PA and Gibsonia (yet to be installed).

Mr Dobronos also did the three domes of St Vladimir Ukr. Orth. Cathedral in Parma, Ohio (as well as a few other churches in the Greater Cleveland area).
