Kostyantyn,

Please feel free tp cpntribute as much and as often as you like and don't be concerned about your language skills - they're perfectly fine. Over time, you'll quickly notice that our membership is pretty geographically far-flung (every continent is represented - except Antarctica ;D ) and there are quite a few posters for whom English is not their first language.

Many years,

Neil

I hope to sell them one day in the future. For now I just make chotkis. I plan on acquire some felted wool fabric and experimenting with that. Then perhaps I'll be able to make some out of leather.

That technique is not good for felted wool fabric. This material can be torn very easily. So. Take some imitation leather to try.

The leather imitation can be punched through much better than any else fabric. Also it looks as leather.

For example I have two Lestovkis(funny English-Russian mixed word) leather made one and imitation another. Natural one is much nicer, but second is good too.

I had seen fabric-made lestovka only once. One lady who was keeper of old rituals had used it. That lestovka was made in different way. Also it was not very usefull lestovka and not completely done. It had no peredvizhniki.

Thanks, Kostyantyn! I'll have to give the imitation leather a try, if I can find some at a nearby shop. Then perhaps I'll attempt using leather. I'd like to make some attempts at this before the end of the year, but if I'm honest with myself I know it's going to be a bit longer than that. Still, if I can start making Lestovki with which I am satisfied, I may begin offering them for sale. But we'll have to wait and see what the future holds. smile
